Colour Creations Blog Hop week 12 - Berry Burst Masterfully Made

Hi stampers, it's Wednesday so time for another Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours. This week we are featuring Berry Burst, which is a previous In Colour that has returned to the range in the Brights Colour Family.

The card I have to share with you is the one I made for my daughter for her birthday. She fell in love with the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper(DSP) when it arrived so I wanted to use it for her card.

I chose the sheet with the all over pattern and cut a piece 10 cm by 20cm, to make a slim line card. The Happy Birthday from the Wanted To Say Dies was cut from Pretty Peacock for the base and Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper for the top layer.

So that the 22ND and MIKI stood out on the busy DSP I layered a piece of Soft Shimmer Speciality Paper in Fresh Freesia on Foam Sheet. I then cut out the pieces I needed with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. The Foam Sheet has the added advantage of being self adhesive making the fiddly letters much easier to attach.

The final elements on my card are some flowers. I wanted the flowers to be in a similar style to what is pictured on the DSP. I used the Petal Park Builder Punch to punch two sets of petals from Berry Burst card stock and one from Blackberry Bliss card stock. I aged and shaped the paper by scrunching it before adhering the three layers together with glue dots. For the center of the flowers I tore a strip of Crushed Curry card stock and then rolled it up and secured the end with some glue.

It had the desired effect, she loved it! The beautiful Masterfully Made DSP made it easy.

All of the products used to make this card are available through my Online Stampin' Up! store.

Until midnight tonight ALL stamp sets are reduced by 15%! Check your wish lists and follow the link above to the store. Use hostess code 7XW3HMYE to enter the draw for a free pack of Rhinestone Basic Jewels with any order of $50.

What a great card for your daughter using the paper she loved. You have really made the words pop off the busy background paper beautifully and those flowers using the Petal Park punch are beautiful.
