Colour Creations Blog Hop week 31 - Lemon Lime Twist Dinos

I have another peek at Darling Dinos, a set from the upcoming Jan to April Mini Catalogue for this week's Colour Creations Blog Hop. This set will be available to customers from Jan 7th 2025.

This week we are featuring Lemon Lime Twist, a bright, fresh green/yellow colour from the Brights Colour Family.

I stamped the Dinosaurs and all of the accessories in Memento Black on Basic White card stock. I coloured them with my Blends Markers, the main colours being Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Freesia. All of the colours I used are listed below.

I used a piece of torn paper as a mask to colour along the bottom of the Deckled Rectangle Die with a Blending Brush and more Lemon Lime Twist ink, to give my Dinosaurs some ground to walk on. The sky is a blend of Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon, again with a Blending Brush. I do not use a separate Blending Brush for each colour but rather one for each shade. So, one for light blues, one for dark blues, one for Light greens etc.

I coloured three balloons in Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly and Calypso Coral then attached some Linen Thread as strings. I shaded each side of the Lemon Lime Twist card base to continue the line of the ground for added dimension.

I hope you love these cute little Dinos as much as I do.
Now it's time to head to the next blog belonging to Di Furniss to see what marvelous creations she has to share with us.

Heart of Christmas week 17 - Last one for 2024 Santa

Last Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2024!
I had already made a set of cards for this week before I received my pre order of new products from the Jan to April Mini Catalogue.
One of the sets I ordered was the Darling Dino Bundle. These dinosaurs are so cute. They are wonderful to colour and I have been exploring lots of different possibilities.
This little fellow is one of those possibilities.

I coloured the party hat with a Real Red Blends Marker and added the fluffy boarder with a Black Marker.

The patterned paper used is the Take a Bow DSP. This set will be available to customers in Jan 2025.

Back to the cards I had initially prepared. I stamped the Surfing Santa in Versamark on both Real Red and Shaded Spruce card stock. These were then heat embossed in white.

The background DSP for all these cards is from the Full of Life DSP Pack.. I know they are a little non traditional for Christmas cards but I think they are really fun.

This is my favourite one, I think the background looks a bit like rays of sun light.

I'm a bit sad that this is our last Christmas blog hop for this year, but I will be back with more samples before Christmas.

Now it's time to see what my wonderful stamping friend Cathy Proctor has to delight us with.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to the blog belonging to Sharon Davern as she has been the amazing host of our Christmas Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thank you for joining us.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 30 - Highland Heather Daisies

It'sWednesday and time for the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are featuring the beautiful Highland Heather. Highland Heather is a lovely soft mauve/purple in our Subtles colour family.

I used the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies for tonight's card.

I inked each of the flower heads in Highland Heather and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Blackberry Bliss ink to the center. I stamped on Basic White card stock and then cut out with the coordinating dies.

For the greenery I cut some leaves from Shy Shamrock and the thin fronds from Shaded Spruce card stock. The background behind the flowers a Basic White embossed with the Cane Weave embossing folder.
As I didn't have any Highland Heather ribbon I used a piece of White Sheer ribbon that I coloured with a Highland Heather Blends Marker. I shredded the ends of the ribbon with Stampin' Up! Snips.

I have one more Highland Heather card to share with you. For this card I used the Zinnias Bundle.
I started by colouring a piece of Watercolour Paper with a Waterpainter and inks in Highland Heather, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.

I cut the flower pieces from this Watercolour Paper.
The background of the card is from the Country Woods DSP pack.

The greeting is from the Zinnias stamp set and is inked in Early Espresso on Highland Heather card stock. I cut out the greeting with a die from the Unbounded Love Die set.

All of these products are available from my Stampin' Up! online store. Please contact me if you have any questions about my projects.

Now it's time for the next hop in our blog hop. Please head to Christine Blain's blog to see what stunning project she has to share with us.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Colour Creations blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
