It'sWednesday and time for the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are featuring the beautiful Highland Heather. Highland Heather is a lovely soft mauve/purple in our Subtles colour family.
I used the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies for tonight's card.
The greeting is from the Zinnias stamp set and is inked in Early Espresso on Highland Heather card stock. I cut out the greeting with a die from the Unbounded Love Die set.
Now it's time for the next hop in our blog hop. Please head to Christine Blain's blog to see what stunning project she has to share with us.
If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Colour Creations blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
I inked each of the flower heads in Highland Heather and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Blackberry Bliss ink to the center. I stamped on Basic White card stock and then cut out with the coordinating dies.
For the greenery I cut some leaves from Shy Shamrock and the thin fronds from Shaded Spruce card stock. The background behind the flowers a Basic White embossed with the Cane Weave embossing folder.
As I didn't have any Highland Heather ribbon I used a piece of White Sheer ribbon that I coloured with a Highland Heather Blends Marker. I shredded the ends of the ribbon with Stampin' Up! Snips.
I have one more Highland Heather card to share with you. For this card I used the Zinnias Bundle.
I started by colouring a piece of Watercolour Paper with a Waterpainter and inks in Highland Heather, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.
I cut the flower pieces from this Watercolour Paper.
The background of the card is from the Country Woods DSP pack.
All of these products are available from my Stampin' Up! online store. Please contact me if you have any questions about my projects.

Great cards, Rach. Highland Heather is a beautiful colour for flowers, isn't it? The Blackberry Bliss addition to the daisies looks fab, as does the embossed background. I also like the ribbon treatment on your first card. Love the rustic background to the softly watercoloured zinnias, on your second card. You've showcased Highland Heather beautifully.
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards, Rachel, using two of the prettiest flower bundles Stampin' Up! carry right now. These are both so pretty, but I can't stop looking at card two as I love any flower on a wooden background. However, I also can't tear my eyes away from the gorgeous coloured ribbon in card one.
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful cards, Rachel, but I love the Cheerful Daisies one the most. That Cane Weave background is gorgeous and I love the added Blackberry Bliss sponged onto the flowers. The way you cut the tied knotted ribbon is really cool. I do like the dark woodgrain in the background of your zinnias and the way you coloured them. Lovely cards!
