Colour Creations Blog Hop week 50 - Soft Suede Friendly Gnomes

Hello stampers, we have come to the end of our Colour Creation blog hops for this Stampin' Up! year. For week 50 we are featuring Soft Suede, a medium brown colour that unfortunately is being discontinued at the end of April.
For tonight's card I have used the Friendly Gnomes Stamp set and the co ordinating dies.

I love sepia look photos and thought that the Soft Suede colour would be perfect for this effect. I inked the stamps first in Versamark ink and then immediately into Soft Suede ink, before stamping on to Shimmery White card stock. I heat Embossed with Clear Emboss Powder to create a water proof outline for the images.

The images were coloured with Soft Suede ink and Water Colour Painters, in different intensities. I also coloured a few extra flowers from the gnomes beard to use as extra embellishments.

The circles were cut using Stylish Shapes Dies as was the piece of Fancy Flora DSP.

The greeting was stamped in Soft Suede ink with the edge of the circle sponged with a sponge dauber.

Unfortunately many of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make this card are retiring and will only be available until sold out or the end of April. The links for all products are listed below.

Now it's time to see what Rachel Palmieri has to share with us.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the fabulous host of our Colour Creations Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 15 - Crumb Cake Dots and Spots

Welcome to week15 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. If you haven't visited before, every Wednesday night at 8pm we are featuring one of the core colours from the Stampin' Up! colour range. This week we are featuring Crumb Cake, which is my most used neutral colour.

This week I have paired Crumb Cake with Basic Black. I die cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the Dots & Spots Dies. This was layered on a Basic Black mat attached on an angle.

I used the Forever Flourishing Dies to cut one leaf stem from Basic Black and another one from Layering Designs Vellum.

After wrapping some Linen Thread around the top layer, I attached the leaf stems over the top.

The greeting is from the Very Best Occasions stamp set.

Now it's time to see what Kate Morgan has to share with us. Click on her name or on the graphic below.

Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 6- Balmy Blue

Welcome to week 6 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2022-2023. This week we are featuring the first of our core Stampin' Up! colours, Balmy Blue. Balmy Blue is a lovely soft baby blue colour that is in our Subtles colour family.

Although the new Annual Catalogue is still fresh I decided to dig out one of my older sets for this weeks card. I chose Hydrangea Haven as I thought Balmy Blue would be perfect for the lusciously big flower heads.

I stamped the main outline image in Basic Gray, then used the solid leaf and flower head circle to fill in the outline. I stamped the flower head first in Balmy Blue and added some Highland Heather with a Sponge Dauber. The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz.

I made my beautiful bow by layering Crinkle Seam Binding that has been coloured with a Balmy Blue Blends Marker over Glittered Organdy Ribbon and then I tied the bow. The strip around the middle is a flat piece of coloured Crinkled Seam Binding over another piece of Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
I'm very pleased a had another play with this set, I seem to concentrate too much on my new stamps and forget about the older ones that are still in the catalogue.

It's now time to continue to the next step on our Blog Hop and see what the very clever Cathy Proctor has to share with us. Cathy is also the host of our Colour Creations Blog Hop so if you have any issues following the hops please head to her blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thanks for visiting and happy stamping,
Rachel
