Heart of Christmas week 2

Week 2 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop is here and I have a super quick and really easy Christmas Card to share with you. I'm very pleased with the final result, it  looks quite stylish and elegant.
I have used the largest Stitched Triangles Dies to cut the top of the tree from one of the sheets from the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP pack.

The trunk is a small piece of Early Espresso card stock. The star on the top of the tree is Gold Foil Sheet cut using one of the Stitched Stars Dies. I have also used the Gold Foil Sheet as a mat behind the Very Vanilla card front.

The Very Vanilla card front was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The final element is the greeting that is from one of my new Christmas sets called Peaceful Deer which is available in the August to Dec. Mini Catalogue. The greeting was heat embossed in Gold and then the ends of the Very Vanilla piece were trimmed with the Banners Pick A Punch.

Thanks for hopping by. The next stop in our blog hop is the very talented Di Furniss.

Colour Creations Showcase week 6 Blushing Bride

Welcome to week of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week our team is featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Blushing Bride.

I have used the Hand Penned Petals Bundle and the Hand-Penned DSP to make a Double Z fold card.

The front panel on the card is the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, cut from Blushing Bride card stock.

I used three different sheets of DSP, all from the Hand-Penned Petals pack to decorate the three panels on the card.

The floral die cut was cut from Basic Black card stock. The greeting from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set was stamped in Memento Black ink.

The next hop for more Blushing Bride inspiration is the very talented Kristine D'Auria.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the full list of participants on Catherine Proctor’s blog.

Don't forget that this DSP and many more are on reduced with Stampin' Up!s DSP Sale, until the 2nd of August.

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop

Oh my, Christmas already! I do love Christmas but I'm just not ready to think about it yet. I do aim to participate in the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop every week which will mean that I will have plenty of Christmas cards ready to send when the time comes.

This week I am using the new Christmas bundle that came out in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, Tidings and Trimmings Bundle.

The colour scheme I used is the same that is used in the coordinating DSP, Tidings of Christmas. These lovely papers have lots of small designs that will be great for lots of different Christmas projects.

For this card I stamped three stockings in Soft Succulent, Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen. I coloured the images with Blends Markers. Then cut them out with the matching dies.

I cut three sets of the holly sprigs and attached them to each of the stockings.

The greeting was embossed in White Emboss Powder and was then punched out with the Double Oval Punch. The sweet zig zag border along the bottom was cut using one of the Basic Border dies.

Hopefully for next week's card I will have my preorder from the upcoming Aug to Dec Mini Catalogue which is packed full of Christmas stamping goodies. Contact me to receive your copy.

For more Christmas inspiration head to the blog of the lovely Judy May, in beautiful sunny Queensland, to see her beautiful creation.
