Time for a change!!

In preparation for the new catalogue I thought it was time for an update of my blog and Facebook style. I was inspired by one of the amazing new suites in the catalogue Good Morning Magnolia.

I was also attracted to the Magnolia bundle as my team of stampers is called the Magnolia Stampers. Named after the movie Steel Magnolias, as my husband says my classes and get together's are a lot like Trudy's Place in the movie. If you haven't seen this movie it's a must, but have the tissues ready.

This card is one of the cards we will be completing at my catalogue launches on the 31st of May and the 1st of June, you have two options to attend this year.

Here's a peek at some of the goodies that attendees will be taking home. This year there will be a little reward for those who can show me their catalogue with the tabs attached.

Don't forget to book your place by 24th of May, as space is limited.

Another card made from the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, this time with Daffodil Delight highlights and,

a final card (for now) with Flirty Flamingo highlights. This card also features some of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Soft Seafoam

Hello again, we're back for another Art With Heart Colour Creation Blog Hop. This time we're featuring the Subtle colour Soft Seafoam. 

For my card I used the Sea of Textures Bundle and the Seaside Textured embossing folder.

I heat embossed the octopus on Tranquil Tide and cut him out with the coordinating dies.

The seaweed has been cut from Tranquil Tide and Soft Seafoam and the sand dollar from Crumb Cake.

The school of tiny fish have been cut using another die in the set from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.

The octopus makes another appearance inside the card, along with a bit more seaweed.

Art With Heart Colour Creations - So Saffron

Back again for another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations Blog Hop, there's only a few colours remaining so make sure you check in for the next few weeks. This week we're featuring So Saffon, which is a lovely soft, buttery yellow in the Subtles colour family. 

This week I used a combination of new and current products in my project.

The stamp sets I used for this card are the new Daisy Lane stamp set, which is coming soon in the 2019-2020 Catalogue and has the daisy and the fern leaf stamp. I also used the Itty Bitty Birthdays set which is in the Occasions catalogue. I love this set as it has 16 small birthday greetings that are so handy on busy cards like this one.

Once I had stamped and punched the daisies with the Daisy Punch I used the stylus end of my Take Your Pick Tool to shape the daisies and give them some real life dimension.

The center of the white daisy was coloured with the Light Daffodil Delight Blends (so we will have So Saffron :) ).

I stamped the fern leaf on the inside of the card for a finishing touch.

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Smokey Slate

Tonight the Art With Heart team are featuring Smoky Slate in our Colour Creation Blog Hop.

I wasn't going to show anymore peeks at sets in the new catalogue just yet, but I couldn't resist using this set, Wildly Happy as it suited Smoky Slate perfectly.

The set has 4 pairs of animals, all adults and babies, and 5 lovely greetings. For the first card I used the rabbits, and lightly coloured them with Smoky Slate and the colour lifter Blend. The DSP is from the also retiring Petal Promenade pack and the ribbon is Powder Pink Ruffled Ribbon.

The second card uses the two elephants, that were also coloured with Smoky Slate Blends. They were then cut out with the new, coming soon, Stitched Nested Label Dies and mounted on DSP from the Tropical Escape 6x6 pack.

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Shaded Spruce

This week's Colour Creation colour is Shaded Spruce, a wonderful rich, emerald green. I have two cards to share with you which feature stamp sets that are not returning in the next catalogue.

The first one features the Lovely As A Tree set which has been available longer than I have been with Stampin' Up!, but is sadly leaving us when the current catalogue finishes on the 2nd of June. This card also uses the Woodland embossing folder, which happily will be back for another year.

  

                 

The second card uses the Flowering Desert stamp set which is currently in the Occasions Catalogue, but unfortunately it is not carrying over to the new catalogue.
