Colour Creations Blog Hop week 49 - Sweet Sorbet Layered Beauty Three Ways

We only have two weeks left of this year's Colour Creations Blog Hops. This week we are featuring Sweet Sorbet which is one of the 2022-2024 In Colours, which unfortunately means that it is retiring at the end of April.
For tonight's cards I combined this retiring colour with one of the new bundles from the up coming 2024-2025 Catalogue. The bundle is called Layers of Beauty and includes a stamp set, dies and a set of 5 masks.

I made three cards with this bundle using different colouring techniques. For the first card I stamped the outline in Memento Black Ink and coloured using the masks and Blending Brushes. The 5 masks were really easy to use as they are numbered and have a notch in one side to make it easy position them correctly. The colours I used were Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight. I used only Sweet Sorbet on the roses but added to the intensity of the colour with each of the masks.

For the next card I stamped the outline in Memento Black ink on Basic Black card stock. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers in Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight.

The background papers for each card are from the 2022-2024 In Colour DSP Pack.

For the third card I stamped the outline image on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper in Stazon Ink. I coloured the image with a Water Painter and Stampin' Up! ink in Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight.

The greetings were stamped in Sweet Sorbet and are from the Go To Greetings. This stamp set is another that is retiring at the end of April. I will miss this set, it's one I use a heap. It has lots of greetings in different sizes.

I cut out the three images with the coordinating dies. They were mounted on a card front with a Sweet Sorbet card base.

Here are the three different cards together, masking, watercolouring and Blends Markers.

Now it's time for the next hop in our blog hop, my wonderful stamping friend Christine Blain.

If you encounter any problems with the links in our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the amazing host of our blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Come back next Wednesday when we will be featuring our last colour for this year, Tahitian Tide.
Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

All three cards are beautiful. The first is my favorite. I just got the bundle and can't wait to try all these colors. One question....the second card you mention stamped with black on black card stock?
