It's time for week 10 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week we have been featuring one of the lovely Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week it's time to feature Berry Burst, a wonderfully deep pink that lives with the Regals colour family.
I have used Berry Burst to make my daughter a card for her 23rd Birthday, which is later this week.
I used the largest die from the Magnolia Mood set to cut the shape from Fluid 100 watercolour paper. I love the thickness and texture of this paper when water colouring, although is does get a tiny bit squashed when it's put through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine with the die.
I coloured the die cut with Berry Burst ink and a Water Painter. These are the easiest way to water colour by far. No need for a water pot that can easily be knocked over, and the set includes three versatile sizes.
I used Old Olive ink to colour the leaves.
To make this card a little more special I wanted to add some bling. After doing Calisthenics for 16 years she's fairly keen on bling. I cut the numbers from Berry Burst Glimmer Paper and the A La Mode dies. To co ordinate the Brushed Brass Butterflies I coloured them with my Berry Burst Blends Marker. I love that because these markers are alcohol based they can be used to colour a range of embellishments so that there is always something to co ordinate with the current project.
All of these supplies are available through my online store.
