Colour Creations Blog Hop week 11 - Blackberry Bliss

For the Colour Creation Blog Hop this week we are featuring Blackberry Bliss. Blackberry Bliss is a rich, dark purple colour that started it's time with Stampin Up! as an In Colour and has now returned to the range as a core colour.

For today's card I have chose to use a Designer Series Paper that is still available in the Clearance Rack. The Clearance is the best place to pick up a bargain. It is updated regularly with newly retired products so check in regularly to purchase great products at a reduced rate. This DSP is called Favored Flowers.

I used a strip of paper 10cm wide and 28.7cm long. This piece was folded in half and then I inserted the folded end into the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and punched a hole.

The card insert then covers the hole in the back panel. The DSP was then adhered to a Blackberry Bliss card base. This is a great card to show off both sides of our lovely DSP, and any shape of punch could be used for the window, depending on the size of your greeting.

I stamped the medium and tiny butterflies from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set on Fresh Freesia card stock. I coloured them with Blends Markers and then fussy cut them out.

The leaf sprig is from the Stippled Roses Dies in Soft Sea Foam card stock.
A couple of the tiny butterflies are attached to the inside of the card and the medium butterfly is on the outside of the card with the leaves.
All of the products used for this card are available through my online store.

Let's hop around to the next stop on our blog hop, my lovely stamping friend Sharon Davern.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy's blog as she is the fabulous host of our blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Please return next week when we will be featuring Blueberry Bushel.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 9 - Blackberry Bliss

Week 9 of our Colour Creations Blog Hop means it's time to celebrate beautiful Blackberry Bliss.
For my card today I am using the Season of Chic Bundle.

I started by embossing a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. I applied Versamark, followed by Heat and Stick Powder and the Gilded Leafing in a random, patchy manner so that the background looks aged or vintage.

The flowers were stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Fresh Freesia card stock and the top layer were cut from Fresh Freesia card stock.

I die cut the mesh piece and a few leaves from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

I cut some of the new gold and vanilla ribbon in half length ways and added some loops between the flowers. I also unraveled some to the Gold Twine and added it behind the flowers. In the center of the flowers I added some Rhinestone Jewels coloured with a Soft Suede Blends Marker.

Now it's time to see what the other Art With Heart Team members have to share with us. The next stop is blog of the lovely Sharon Davern.

If you encounter any problems with the links in our blog hop head to Cathy Proctor's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Blackberry Bliss Hand-Penned Petals

Hello folks, this card was supposed to be part of the Colour Creations Showcase but I've had a busy week arguing with Facebook about my account and it's school holidays and I missed the cutoff so... I thought I would share it with you anyway.

I love this card as it demonstrates the colour co ordination of the Stampin' Up! products. This card uses two different set of DSP packs. I couldn't find any DSP that Worked for this card so I coloured a piece of the Love Always DSP with the Blends Markers. I also used a strip of the Ice Cream Corner DSP. Both of these DSP are discontinued from midnight TONIGHT!!! ORDER NOW!!!

The flowers and foliage were cut from the Penned Flowers Dies. The speckles in the background are from the Colour and Contour stamp set.

Don't forget that tomorrow marks the start of our DSP sale.
More details in my online store.

Thanks for visiting! Please contact me with any questions.

Happy stamping,
Rachel
