Colour Creations Blog Hop week 11 - Blackberry Bliss

For the Colour Creation Blog Hop this week we are featuring Blackberry Bliss. Blackberry Bliss is a rich, dark purple colour that started it's time with Stampin Up! as an In Colour and has now returned to the range as a core colour.

For today's card I have chose to use a Designer Series Paper that is still available in the Clearance Rack. The Clearance is the best place to pick up a bargain. It is updated regularly with newly retired products so check in regularly to purchase great products at a reduced rate. This DSP is called Favored Flowers.

I used a strip of paper 10cm wide and 28.7cm long. This piece was folded in half and then I inserted the folded end into the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and punched a hole.

The card insert then covers the hole in the back panel. The DSP was then adhered to a Blackberry Bliss card base. This is a great card to show off both sides of our lovely DSP, and any shape of punch could be used for the window, depending on the size of your greeting.

I stamped the medium and tiny butterflies from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set on Fresh Freesia card stock. I coloured them with Blends Markers and then fussy cut them out.

The leaf sprig is from the Stippled Roses Dies in Soft Sea Foam card stock.
A couple of the tiny butterflies are attached to the inside of the card and the medium butterfly is on the outside of the card with the leaves.
All of the products used for this card are available through my online store.

Let's hop around to the next stop on our blog hop, my lovely stamping friend Sharon Davern.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy's blog as she is the fabulous host of our blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Please return next week when we will be featuring Blueberry Bushel.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 5 Wild Wheat Gone Fishing

It's week 5 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring the final 2023-2025 In Colour, Wild Wheat. Wild Wheat is a yellow ochre colour that is my least favourite of the new In Colours.

For tonight's card I relied on the lovely Let's Go Fishing DSP.

I chose the sheet with the multi coloured fish on one side and the gingham pattern on the reverse side. I cut one end with one of the Basic Borders Dies. And then a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock with the same die.

The card front was completed with a strip of the gingham DSP.
The greeting is from the Inked & Tiled stamp set and has been heat embossed in white on Pebbled Path card stock.

I dismantled a small piece of In Colour Jute Twine and attached it behind the greeting. I fussy cut one of the flies from another of the DSP and attached it to the front of the greeting panel. The greeting panel was cut with a Nested Essentials Die.
All of the products that were used to make this card are available through my online store, the links are below. Please contact me with any questions, I'm always happy to chat about stamping ang Stampin' Up!

Now it's time to hop over to see what my lovely team member Rosa Leyden has to share with us.

If you encounter any issues with the links in tonight's hop please go to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the amazing host of our Colour Creations Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

The next four colours we are featuring are the colours that are new to the Stampin' Up! Colour range, in alphabetical order, starting with Azure Afternoon. See you next week.
Thanks for stopping by,
Happy stamping,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 8 - Bermuda Bay

Hello stampers, I'm back with week 8 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. This week our projects highlight Bermuda Bay which is a beautiful blue/green colour that belongs to our Brights Colour Family.

The first card I have to show you uses the A Fish & A Wish bundle.

This bundle includes a punch with two different sized fish and a coordinating stamp set. I have stamped three fish in Stazon Jet Black ink on Silver Foil card stock so that my fish have a realistic shimmer to them.

The background of the card is Coastal Cabana and has been embossed with the Seashells 3D embossing folder.

I cut three squares from Bermuda Bay card stock and attached them to the background on the diagonal. Numerous leaf sprigs were cut using the Natural Prints Dies and Parakeet Party card stock. These sprigs were tucked around the Bermuda Bay squares as seaweed.

The fish were added and the final touch was a few Opal Rounds that I thought looked like bubbles under the water.

The second card I made was cased from a card I saw on Pinterest by LA Stamper.

I love this card as it was the perfect way to use up all of the half flowers around the edge of the DSP sheet.

I used a scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies as the base for the flowers. I stamped the greeting from the Happiness Abounds stamp set and then arranged the flowers around it.

A few teeny tiny Brushed Brass Butterflies were the final touch.

I can't wait to see what the other clever ladies in the team have to share with you. The next hop on our blog hop is my lovely friend Christine Blain. Click either on her name or on the graphic below to see here amazing project.
