Heart of Christmas week 16 Christmas Tags

Here is the week 16 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. This week I have some gift tags to share with you.

There is less than 10 weeks until Christmas so it's time to get started on Christmas gift buying, so of course you will need tags to go on your gifts, ta da!

I have used four different punches to make my tags so they were super fast to put together.

I am featuring the Tidings of Christmas 6"x6" DSP and coordinating that with Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent card stock. For all of the tags I started with a strip of card stock 5cm wide and 10.5cm long.
I punched one end with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.

I made the tags in pairs which is another way I could make them a little more efficiently. I know we've been stuck at home for months with plenty of time, but I'd much rather have a bit of extra time for the gift buying than the tags.

The first of tags features the Deer Punch. It is very difficult to see in the photo but the deer was punched from one of the Sahara Sand sheets with a delicate white design. I punched one deer from the front of the sheet and one from the back so that they are heading in opposite directions. A small piece of Evening Evergreen DSP was added to the end of the card.

The second pair of tags uses the Pine Tree Dies and a Die from the Layering Circle dies.

I punched the tree first and then cut the circle so I could make sure the tree was in the center. A piece of Cherry Cobbler DSP is behind each tree.

My last pair of tags features the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack. Now, before you tell me these punches are discontinued, I know they are.....but, they are still available in the Clearance Rack and they are reduced! Great buy and they are sooo versatile. I punched the ornaments from Brushed Metallic Paper. The cute little bows are from the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Ribbon.

I did sneak a greeting from a discontinued set, I just didn't have one the right size to fit.

I added a length of Gold Twine to the top of each tag to attach them to my gifts.

On the back of each tag I added the To: From: stamp from the Snowman Season stamp set.

All of the products I have used to make my tags are listed below.

Now it's time to see what the lovely Theresa Gerrard has to share with us.

Colour Creations week 20 Granny Apple Green

Welcome to week 20 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week the Art With Heat Team are featuring Granny Apple Green, which belongs in our Brights family of colours.

This week I thought a bright, funky green needed to feature on a bright, funky card. I have paired Granny Apple Green with Poppy Parade and Basic Black. I know that this colour scheme is a bit different for traditional Christmas colours but I thought it suited the colour.

I used the Pine Tree Punch to cut one tree from a sheet of Granny Apple Green from the 6"x6" Brights DSP Pack, another from one of the sheets from the Pattern Play Hostess DSP and the third is also from the Pattern Play DSP but I have used a Blending Brush and Granny Apple Green ink to colour one of the black and white patterns, as shown below.

The strip across the center of the card is a piece of Poppy Parade DSP, also from the 6"x6" Brights DSP Pack.
The border either side is Black Glitter Paper using the Basic Borders Dies.

I also used the Black Glitter Paper to cut 3 small stars using the Christmas Tree Dies to go on the top of the Christmas Trees.

The greeting is from the Peaceful Deer stamp set and has been heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on Basic Black card stock.

What do you think? Is it still Christmassy enough?
Definitely not my usual colours but it's good to step outside your usual box sometimes.

For more Granny Apple Green inspiration it's time to head over to see what the very talented Theresa Gerrard has to share with us.

Heart of Christmas Week 11 Delivering Cheer

Welcome to week 11 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. Another week closer to Christmas and more inspiration from the Art With Heart Team. This week I have combined the Delivering Cheer stamp set and the Peaceful Prints Speciality DSP from the Sale-a-bration rewards to make my card. There is only a couple of weeks remaining until the end of Sale-a-bration so don’t forget to place your orders before the end of September to receive your FREE rewards.

To make my cards I stamped the skit image on the red check and snowflake piece of DSP and cut it out. I then stamped the same image again on a 2” wide strip of Basic White cardstock and coloured in the legs and shoes with Blends Markers.

I attached the patterned paper skirt above the legs with glue or tape.

I stamped the image of the arms holding the tree on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock and again coloured with the Blends Markers. I cut out this image and mounted it with Dimensionals over the skirt.

I cut the top of the strip with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. The bow on the top is Real Red Sheer Ribbon.

For the background of my card I cut three Stitched Rectangles from another of the Peaceful Prints DSP pack. These were mounted on a Basic Black card base. The greeting was heat embossed in white on Real Red cardstock.
I’m very pleased with how my card turned out and I’m loving using my free Sale-a-bration products, don’t forget to order before the end of September to receive yours.
All of the products I have used to make these c adds are listed below with links to my online store if you are interested in purchasing.
