Colour Creations Week 25 - Fresh Freesia Racing By

Hello stampers, here we are with week 25 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we have reached the halfway point with Fresh Freesia, which a beautiful mauve colour in the Subtles Colour Family.

I am running short of masculine cards in my stash so I wanted to see if I could use Fresh Freesia for a masculine card.

I have used the Racing By stamp set and combined Fresh Freesia with Coastal Cabana and Azure Afternoon.

I stamped the car outline three times and then filled them in with either Fresh Freesia, Coastal Cabana and Azure Afternoon.

The greeting is stamped in Fresh Freesia and is attached with Dimensionals. The checkered flags are stamped in Memento Black ink and then fussy cut.

All of these products are available through my Online Store.

Now it's time for the next stop on our blog hop which belongs to the very talented Sharon Davern.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop, please head to Cathy's blog as she is the amazing host of our Colour Creations Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Next week we will be back with projects featuring Garden Green.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 7 Azure Afternoon Racing By Pop Up

Hello, I'm back with another Racing By card for week 7 of the Colour Creation Blog Hop. This week the team at Art With Heart are creating projects that feature Azure Afternoon, a lovely bright blue from the Brights Colour Family.

For this card I started stamping the car images from the bottom of the Basic White card front. I staggered the alignment of the cars so hopefully they look like a whole field of race cars racing by.
Due to the dreary weather in Melbourne over the last few days I had trouble getting nice photos of my cards so please forgive the fingers in a couple of the pictures, I was chasing the light.

I stamped the solid colours of the cars in Azure Afternoon, Gorgeous Grape and Lemon Lime Twist. The greeting is stamped in Gorgeous Grape.

To make the inside of the card a bit special I added an extra pop up car. I stamped the outline in Memento Black, the main car colour in Gorgeous Grape and this time I added a driver in Azure Afternoon. I just realised that all of my race cars on the front are driverless, OOOps! They must be driverless race cars of the future ;)

This pop up mechanism was super easy. Just a strip of card stock scored at intervals of 2cm then joined to form a box. This was secured on two side to the inside of the card. The card was then attached to the front face of the box.

Azure Afternoon is a fabulous, bright blue that works perfectly with so many of Stampin' Up!s beautiful colours, some bright and some not so bright. Now it's time for more Azure Afternoon inspiration from the Art With Heart Team. The next blog in line is Rosa Leyden.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy's blog as she is the wonderful host of tonight's hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Please come back next week when we will be featuring Balmy Blue projects.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 5 - Summer Splash Racing By

Hello stampers, it's time for week 5 of the Colour Creation Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order starting with the 2024-2026 In Colours. This week it's time to feature Summer Splash.

Today's card is a variation of a pull card that we saw demonstrated at the latest Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Event.
I used the Racing By stamp set for the racing car image.

The race car outline is stamped in Memento Black Ink and the solid image is Summer Splash and the star is Real Red.

There is a slit in the front of the card that allows the center tab to be pulled out, making the race car move.

The card base is Summer Splash and a center panel in Smoky Slate. The Smoky Slate piece has been embossed with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder.

I'm very pleased with how this card turned out, the little race car is so cute. I have a couple of other cards I have made with this set that I will share with you shortly.

Now it's time to see what me stamping friend Kathryn Ruddick has to share with us.
