Colour Creations Blog Hop 2022-2024 In Colours - Parakeet Party

 

Welcome to week two of the 2022-2023 Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team.

We are beginning this year by featuring our 5 new 2022-2024 In Colours in alphabetical order. Last week was the beautiful Orchid Oasis and this week we continue with Parakeet Party. Parakeet Party is a bright lime green colour. I struggled to decide on an idea to feature this colour. I finally turned to my unopened (eeek) Light the Candles Kit. 

This kit includes all of the supplies needed to make 8 cards with beautiful coordinating envelopes.

It even includes a clear block, an ink spot and self adhesive embellishments.

What first drew me to this kit was the really versatile stamp set that is also included in this kit.

To make my card this week I used one of the cake cut outs  and adhered Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide In Colour DSP on the reverse side.

The cake piece is mounted on Tahitian Tide card stock. I love how these two new colours really pop together.

I stamped the greeting in Parakeet Party ink and then snipped the words apart so that they wold fit along one side of the card. 

Wink of Stella Pen was applied to the flame to add a bit of sparkly to the card.

After a very slow start with this card I am very happy with how it turned out. Maybe I should have opened the kit ages ago😉. All of the products I have used to make this card are listed below. Please contact me with any questions.

2022-2024 In Colours Tahitian Tide

 

We have come to the last of our new 2022-2024 In Colours, Tahitian Tide. Tahitian Tide is bright, clear blue that is a lovely addition to our colour palette.

I have used the Tahitian Tide card base from the Tea Boutique cards and envelopes pack and the Sit, Stay, Relax stamp set which is one of our hostess rewards.

I stamped the image on a scalloped rectangle in Tahitian Tide ink. I coloured the cat lightly with a Crumb Cake Blends Marker and a Colour Lifter.

I highlighted the cat with a light application of a Wink of Stella pen. The greeting was also stamped in Tahitian Tide ink and cut out with the Double Oval Punch.

The final embellishment is some Tahitian Tide Bakers Twine from the 2022-2024 In Colour Bakers Twine pack.

Colour Creation Blog Hop 2022-2024 In Colours - Orchid Oasis

Today's post is doing double duty as the Orchid Oasis day on my introduction of the five new In Colours and the first week of the 2022-2023 Colour Creations Blog Hop. Did you notice our new blog header to signify the new year of Colour Creations? Simply beautiful!

As this is an extra special post I have two cards to share with you that showcase Orchid Oasis.

For my first card I have used an Orchid Oasis card base from the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes and paired it with the Waves of Inspiration Bundle.

I cut the slightly larger wave from Vellum card stock and the smaller wave from the 2022-2024 In Colour 6" X 6" Glimmer Paper. I layered the waves on the card front with the Glimmer Paper wave on top.

The clouds were cut from Basic White and the sea gulls were cut from Silver Foil.

For my second card I again used the 2022-2024 In Colour Glimmer Paper, this time for the background.

I started by cutting on of the 6" x 6" sheets in half so that I had both light and dark shades on both sheets.

I then cut one of the pieces on random angles with the Stampin Trimmer. These pieces were then attached to an Orchid Oasis card front with equal spaces between them. 

In hindsight I think I should have cut the piece so that I could have alternate the light and dark shades across the card, but I had already attached the pieces by then so there they stayed.

The stamped image on my card is one of the robots from the Nuts and Bolts stamp set from the Jan to June catalogue. I coloured this cute little guy with the new Orchid Oasis Blends Markers. To give him a worn and weathered look I used a Colour Lifer Marker to remove some of the ink.

 I placed a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock that had been embossed with the Hive 3D embossing folder behind the image.

Orchid Oasis is definitively my favourite new In Colour this year.

2022-2024 In Colours Sweet Sorbet

 The now 2022-2023 Catalogue is here!

And I'm here to share with you our third new In Colour, Sweet Sorbet. Sweet Sorbet is a beautiful rich strawberry red, that suits it's name perfectly.

For today's card I have again used the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes as my card base. I have used the Cup of Tea Bundle to stamp the striped tea cup in Starry Sky ink.

The leaves are stamped directly on to the scalloped rectangle in Parakeet Party and Garden Green, and the flowers are stamped on a separate piece of Basic White card stock in Sweet Sorbet and Petal Pink. These were cut out with the coordinating dies and attached with Dimensionals.

All of these products are available in the new 2022-2023 Catalogue that is now live to customers.

2022-2024 In Colour Parakeet Party

 

Hello there, I'm back with another of Stampin' Up!s new In Colours, Parakeet Party.

Parakeet Party is a bright, lime green colour that will beautifully compliment many of our current colours.

For today's card I have used the Parakeet Party card base from the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes and the Nature's Prints Bundle.

I cut the wreath from Parakeet Party card stock and the greeting is stamped in Parakeet Party ink. I love the greeting die from the Natural Prints Dies, it's such a unique shape. 

The little flower was stamped in Parakeet Party and coloured with the Parakeet Party Blends Markers.

Such a bright, happy card, loving this colour!

Meet the new 2022-2024 In Colours Starry Sky

 It's not long now, only two more sleeps, until the 2023 Catalogue goes live!

I have been enjoying some creative time with the new 2022-2024 In Colours that are featured in the catalogue.

Using the new Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes, I have one card in each of the new colours to share with you over the next 5 days. This card and envelope pack features 20 card bases (4 in each of the new colours) and 20 matching envelopes for only $17.50.

Today's colour is Starry Sky, a lovely deep blue/purple colour.

The Starry Sky card base is preprinted with diagonal stripes in Starry Sky with a lighter, almost Orchid Oasis background, that I thought looked a lot like trellis.

I have used a new set from the 2022-2023 Catalogue called Wisteria Wishes.

The Wisteria flowers are stamped in Orchid Oasis, stamped off once to the larger stamp and full strength for the smaller, highlight stamp. I paired Starry Sky with Soft Succulent leaves, some stamped and some die cut using the Wisteria Dies.

I also stamped the wisteria flowers in half strength on the Soft Succulent card stock.

The ribbon is Metallic Woven Ribbon in Starry Sky. This ribbon comes in all of the new In Colours.

I'm looking forward to having this colour in our range for the next two years.
