Welcome to week 19 of the Colour Creations Showcase with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring on of the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order and this week we are up to Gorgeous Grape.
I have two cards to share with you this week. Both cards feature the Ombre Specialty Paper, of which one sheet is Gorgeous Grape.
For the first card I used the Pierced Blooms Dies, with the three main flowers cut from the Ombre Specialty Paper. The other flowers and leaves were cut from the Pattern Party Paper and 2021-2023 In Colour 6" x 6" DSP. The background paper is also from the Pattern Party Paper Pack.
I tied the bow by first layering the Gorgeous Grape and White Glittered Organdy Ribbon together to get the double bow.
The greeting is from the Art Gallery stamp set.
For the second card I cut three butterflies using the Brilliant Wings Dies from the Ombre Specialty Paper.
The background is Basic White card stock cut with the largest Scalloped Contour Die and embossed with the 3D Timeworn Type embossing folder.
I sponged a small amount over the texture with a Sponge Dauber so that the texture is accentuated.
All of the products used for these cards are listed below and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
Now it's time to head to the blog belonging to the very talented Tina Gillespie to see her amazing project.

Thanks for visiting,
Both just stunning cards, Rachel. Fresh Freesia looks lovely with the Gorgeous Grape and I love your sponging on the typeworn type embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteTw absolutely gorgeous cards, Rachel. I really love the sweet flowers on the first card, using the ombre paper was a great idea.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are beautiful, Rachel. I especially love the posy of flowers, with all the glimmer and sparkle provided by the Ombre Specialty Paper, and the Organdy Ribbon. So, so, pretty!
ReplyDeleteStunning cards Rachel, great minds think a like with the Ombre Specialty Paper and butterflies.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Rachel. The bouquet of flowers is my favourite with the pretty double bow and pierced blooms.
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Rachel. Using the Ombré Specialty paper for the flowers and butterflies was inspired. Your bouquet of flowers is lovely, especially with the double ribbon and the simple little black dot background. The layering, embossing and daubering are delightful with the butterflies. Xxx
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty, Gorgeous Grape cards Rachel. I hadn’t taken much notice of the ombré paper before now - it’s beautiful! Card 1 is my favourite as I adore the Pierced Blooms dies.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so pretty Rachel and love the floral bouquet with gorgeous bows. The subtle dotty background DSP allows the flowers to shine. The ombré butterflies are so lovely too.
