Colour Creations Showcase week 19 Gorgeous Grape

Welcome to week 19 of the Colour Creations Showcase with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring on of the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order and this week we are up to Gorgeous Grape.

I have two cards to share with you this week. Both cards feature the Ombre Specialty Paper, of which one sheet is Gorgeous Grape.

For the first card I used the Pierced Blooms Dies, with the three main flowers cut from the Ombre Specialty Paper. The other flowers and leaves were cut from the Pattern Party Paper and 2021-2023 In Colour 6" x 6" DSP. The background paper is also from the Pattern Party Paper Pack.

I tied the bow by first layering the Gorgeous Grape and White Glittered Organdy Ribbon together to get the double bow.

The greeting is from the Art Gallery stamp set.

The canter of flowers were cut from the light end of the Ombre sheet.

For the second card I cut three butterflies using the Brilliant Wings Dies from the Ombre Specialty Paper.

The background is Basic White card stock cut with the largest Scalloped Contour Die and embossed with the 3D Timeworn Type embossing folder.

I sponged a small amount over the texture with a Sponge Dauber so that the texture is accentuated.

The layer under the scalloped piece is Gorgeous Grape and the card base is Highland Heather.

The greeting is from the Best Year stamp set and has been heat embossed in white. This die is from the Pierced Blooms Dies.
All of the products used for these cards are listed below and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Now it's time to head to the blog belonging to the very talented Tina Gillespie to see her amazing project.

  6. Two gorgeous cards Rachel. Using the Ombré Specialty paper for the flowers and butterflies was inspired. Your bouquet of flowers is lovely, especially with the double ribbon and the simple little black dot background. The layering, embossing and daubering are delightful with the butterflies. Xxx
