Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 50! Tahitian Tide Trucks

Hello stamping friends, welcome to the last week of this year's Colour Creations Blog Hops. Don't get too distressed we will be back with a new year of blog hops NEXT WEEK!

The final colour we are featuring is Tahitian Tide, which is one of the retiring In Colours.

For tonight's cards I have used the Construction Zone stamp set.

The machines and present are stamped in Memento Black Ink and coloured with Blends in Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis.

The zig zag strip down the left side of each card was cut with the Basic Borders Dies and all of the circles and the greeting banners were cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Super quick, but hopefully super cute too and lots of discontinued items to say good bye to :( If you have any questions please contact me.

Now it's time to see more Tahitian Tide creations from the lovely and super talented Sharon Davern

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the wonderfully amazing host of our hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 49 - Sweet Sorbet Layered Beauty Three Ways

We only have two weeks left of this year's Colour Creations Blog Hops. This week we are featuring Sweet Sorbet which is one of the 2022-2024 In Colours, which unfortunately means that it is retiring at the end of April.
For tonight's cards I combined this retiring colour with one of the new bundles from the up coming 2024-2025 Catalogue. The bundle is called Layers of Beauty and includes a stamp set, dies and a set of 5 masks.

I made three cards with this bundle using different colouring techniques. For the first card I stamped the outline in Memento Black Ink and coloured using the masks and Blending Brushes. The 5 masks were really easy to use as they are numbered and have a notch in one side to make it easy position them correctly. The colours I used were Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight. I used only Sweet Sorbet on the roses but added to the intensity of the colour with each of the masks.

For the next card I stamped the outline in Memento Black ink on Basic Black card stock. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers in Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight.

The background papers for each card are from the 2022-2024 In Colour DSP Pack.

For the third card I stamped the outline image on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper in Stazon Ink. I coloured the image with a Water Painter and Stampin' Up! ink in Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight.

The greetings were stamped in Sweet Sorbet and are from the Go To Greetings. This stamp set is another that is retiring at the end of April. I will miss this set, it's one I use a heap. It has lots of greetings in different sizes.

I cut out the three images with the coordinating dies. They were mounted on a card front with a Sweet Sorbet card base.

Here are the three different cards together, masking, watercolouring and Blends Markers.

Now it's time for the next hop in our blog hop, my wonderful stamping friend Christine Blain.
