Colour Creations Blog Hop week 16 - Crushed Curry Wattle

Hello friends, welcome to week 16 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. For week 16 we are featuring one of my least used colours Crushed Curry.

I usually use this colour on autumn themed cards with Cajun Craze, but I have just received the Brightest Beauty Bundle and decided that Crushed Curry would be the perfect colour for wattle flowers.

I used Sponge Daubers to apply Crushed Curry and Old Olive ink to the main floral stamp. This was stamped on to Basic White card stock then cut with a Deckled Rectangle Die.

To highlight the flowers I used one of the dies to cut some flowers from Crushed Curry card stock. I attached some of the flowers with Multipurpose Glue directly to the image and attached the others with Dimensionals to add a bit of dimension to the card.

The final touch was some Wink of Stella pen added to the card stock flowers, which adds a lovely bit of sparkly to the card.
For more Crushed Curry inspiration it's now time to see what the my lovely friend Christine Blain has to share with us. Either click on her name or on the graphic below.

Heart of Christmas week 7 - Tree Trimming Stamp and Dies

Hi, it's time for week 7 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team.

I decided to use my Tree Lots Dies again before Sale-a-bration finishes at the end of August and they are no longer available as a Sale-a-bration reward.
On this card I have featured the caravan dies in traditional Christmas colours.

All of the dies to make this cute little van are included in the Tree Lot Dies. I even cut a tiny wreath and bow from the dies to attach to the door of the van. The bow has a Rhinestone Jewel in the center.

The background paper is a piece from the Celebrate Everything DSP pack which is one of the host rewards from the July to Dec Mini Catalogue. I used my Shaded Spruce Blends Markers to colour the trees around the van.
What a sweet Christmas card for a friend who enjoys caravanning on their Christmas break.

Don't forget that the Sale-a-bration promotion finishes at the end of August so you only have a couple of weeks to earn these amazing dies. I will definitely be hanging onto these dies as I have many friends who have their own vans.

Now it's time to see what my team member and our host Sharon Davern has to share with us. Click on her name or on the graphic below.

As Sharon is also the host of our Christmas Blog Hops if you have problems following any of the links please head over to her blog as she has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 15 - Crumb Cake Dots and Spots

Welcome to week15 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. If you haven't visited before, every Wednesday night at 8pm we are featuring one of the core colours from the Stampin' Up! colour range. This week we are featuring Crumb Cake, which is my most used neutral colour.

This week I have paired Crumb Cake with Basic Black. I die cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the Dots & Spots Dies. This was layered on a Basic Black mat attached on an angle.

I used the Forever Flourishing Dies to cut one leaf stem from Basic Black and another one from Layering Designs Vellum.

After wrapping some Linen Thread around the top layer, I attached the leaf stems over the top.

The greeting is from the Very Best Occasions stamp set.

Heart of Christmas week 6 - Tree Lot Dies and Silver and Gold DSP

Hello stampers, it's time for week 6 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every Monday evening at 8pm until the end of November we have lots of beautiful Christmas inspiration to share with you.

This week I and using a couple of the free Sale-a-bration rewards to make my card, the Tree Lot Dies and the Silver & Gold 6"x6" DSP.

I cut a piece of the Silver Dots DSP in half to use as the sky. With a Blending Brush I added Starry Sky ink to the DSP, darker at the top and graduating lighter towards the bottom.

The bases of the trees Granny Apple Green for the smaller ones and Parakeet Party for the largest center one. The top layer for all trees is Shaded Spruce.

The Tree Lot Dies also include a die which cuts out three small stars, which were cut from silver foil and adhered to the top of each tree. The mat for the card front is Basic Black. The sky piece was adhered to the top and the greeting from the Trees For Sale stamp set was embossed in Silver Embossing Powder cross the lower edge.

To decided to make this card an easel card. To do this I cut an A4 sheet in half and then folded that in half. I scored the front of the card in half horizontally and folded it outwards. I tied some Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon around the bottom of the sky piece before the card front was attached to the card base.

I popped a small tree on the inside of the card to act as a stopper to keep the front of the card open.

Both the Tree Lot Dies and the Silver & Gold 6"x6" DSP are only available until the end of August or until sold out. Stampin' Up! have added a variety of embossing folders, dies and Specialty Papers to the Sale-a-bration rewards.

Now it's time to see what Kate Morgan has to share with us.
