This week I and using a couple of the free Sale-a-bration rewards to make my card, the Tree Lot Dies and the Silver & Gold 6"x6" DSP.
I popped a small tree on the inside of the card to act as a stopper to keep the front of the card open.
I cut a piece of the Silver Dots DSP in half to use as the sky. With a Blending Brush I added Starry Sky ink to the DSP, darker at the top and graduating lighter towards the bottom.
The bases of the trees Granny Apple Green for the smaller ones and Parakeet Party for the largest center one. The top layer for all trees is Shaded Spruce.
The Tree Lot Dies also include a die which cuts out three small stars, which were cut from silver foil and adhered to the top of each tree. The mat for the card front is Basic Black. The sky piece was adhered to the top and the greeting from the Trees For Sale stamp set was embossed in Silver Embossing Powder cross the lower edge.
To decided to make this card an easel card. To do this I cut an A4 sheet in half and then folded that in half. I scored the front of the card in half horizontally and folded it outwards. I tied some Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon around the bottom of the sky piece before the card front was attached to the card base.
Both the Tree Lot Dies and the Silver & Gold 6"x6" DSP are only available until the end of August or until sold out. Stampin' Up! have added a variety of embossing folders, dies and Specialty Papers to the Sale-a-bration rewards.
Now it's time to see what Kate Morgan has to share with us.
Make sure to visit on Wednesday at 8pm when we will be back with our Colour Creations Blog Hop, featuring Crumb Cake.
Happy stamping.
