Christmas in July Countdown - Day 2

Here is day 2 in my Christmas in July Countdown. I'm counting down to the end of July so tomorrow will be the last day of my count down. I can't believe how fast this year is disappearing! Although I can't wait for it to end, hopefully 2021 will be a better, healthier year for everyone.

Back to today's card. I have used the Don't Stop Believing set from the upcoming catalogue, it's available from the 4th of August.
I have watercoloured the Santa with one of the new Water Painters. I love these new brushes. With three different tip they are much more versatile for different projects. At only $21 per pack there are great value.

The Santa and a Real Red mat were cut using the Layered Oval Dies. I stamped the greeting in Smokey Slate in the background and added a few of my favourite Rhinestone Jewels. The card base is thick Whisper White card stock.

Happy stamping and stay healthy,
Rachel

Art With Heart Colour Creations Week 9 - Cherry Cobbler

Back with week 9 of Colour Creations with the Art With Heart Team. It's also my 3rd countdown to the end of July, only 2 days to go.

Tonight we are featuring Cherry Cobbler, a beautiful rich red that is perfect for Christmas projects.

Tonight I am using Cherry Cobbler with a returning favourite from last year, the Beautiful Baubles bundle. This great bundle is available again on the 4th of August and..

...is in the upcoming Aug- Dec Mini Catalogue.

If you don't have a copy of this catalogue yet, contact me and I will send one out.

For this card I stamped the large bauble in Versamark, then Gold Embossing Powder on Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The small bauble was stamped a bit differently. I inked the stamp in Versamark then stamped directly in the Cherry Cobbler stamp pad and onto the Gold Foil papaer. This was then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. It looks like I have embossed in Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder. I needed to do this on the Gold Foil as the Gold Foil has a coating on it that does not allow the ink to soak into the paper and dry, so the water based inks just rub off.

The Holly stamp was Gold heat embossed twice on Very Vanilla card stock and coloured with the ink pads and Water Painters.

The Mint Macaroon was embossed with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder and the background of the card is a piece of DSP from the In Good Taste Speciality DSP pack with a very blond wood effect.

I used a couple of pieces of gold twine to hang the baubles from, also coming soon in the new mini.

For more Cherry Cobbler inspiration head to Cathy's blog for a list of all tonight's participants.

Don't forget, only 2 days left to earn your July Bonus Days Rewards.

Christmas in July Countdown - 5

I'm going to count down the last 5 days of July with some Christmas inspiration.

Today's card uses the Dove of  Hope stamp set, but there is not a dove in sight. This set is coming soon in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue.

I stamped the branch, bauble and greeting stamp in Versamark and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder.

This piece was cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I used a sponge to colour the background with Balmy Blue ink.

The embossed were coloured with a Water Painter and ink pads in Cherry Cobbler, Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.

The tabs on the top left corner are strips cut from Red Foil paper.
The card base is Thick Whisper White Paper.

Don't forget the end of July also sees the end of July Bonus Days!

Thanks for visiting,
Happy stamping,
Rachel

Art With Heart Colour Creations week 8 - Calypso Coral

Welcome to the Art With Heart Colour Creation Showcase, this week featuring Calypso Coral. Although Calypso Coral is one of Stampin' Up!s Subtle colours I have chosen to combine it with three of our Brights colours.

The stamp set I have used for my card is called Beautiful Friendship. This stamp set is photopolymer which makes it very easy to position the stamps in this set to make a beautiful bunch of flowers.

This card was inspired by some Stampin' Up! grid paper that was available last year. I loved this colour combination and wanted to use it to feature Calypso Coral.

I stamped the main Calypso Coral flowers first and worker out from there. The Pacific point flowers next, then the Daffodil Delight features and finally the Granny Apple Green leaves. The greeting is stamped in Pacific Point.

For more Calypso Coral inspiration head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thank you for visiting,
happy stamping,
Rachel
