Peek-a-Hoot Doves of Hope

 

I have combined a couple of my favourite Mini Catalogue products on this card. I have used the Peek-a-Hoot dies and the Dove of Hope stamp set.

The doves were heat embossed in silver no Whisper White card stock. I coloured a few highlights with my Blends markers. I try not to colour on the silver embossing as the markers tend to discolour the silver. It's very hard to see in the photos but I coloured the tips of both doves'wings and the bauble with a Wink of Stella pen to give them a lovely sparkly effect.

The Peek-a-Hoot dies were cut from a piece of In Good Taste DSP. Don't forget this sale finished TOMORROW!

The greeting is heat embossed in silver on the Real Red card stock and the card base is Early Espresso.

Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper Houses

 

To make this card all I needed was Trimming the Town DSP and the Home Together Dies.

I used one of the dies to cut the trees and hills. I fussy cut 4 houses from the DSP and a strip from another with the words on it to go along the bottom of the card.

The ribbon is from the Playful Pets Trim Combo pack.

The greeting is from Itty Bitty Christmas and the wreath is also cut from one of the DSP sheets.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase week 22 - Just Jade

It's Wednesday so I'm back with the Art With Heart Team for another Colour Creations Showcase. This week we are featuring on of our 2020-2021 In Colours, Just Jade. As the name suggests it's a lovely subtle jade green colour that co ordinates beautifully with many of our standard colours. Today I have paired Just Jade with Pol Party and Pretty Peacock to make an under the sea themed card.

For this card I have combined the Whale of  a Time DSP with the Seabed 3D embossing folder.

I embossed the Just Jade background piece with the Seabed 3D embossing folder which perfectly sets the under the sea theme. It's such a detailed folder and it looks amazing with the Just Jade card stock.

I haven't purchased the Whale Done Bundle (yet) but I was able to cut this adorable whale from the Whale of a Time DSP. The oval behind the whale and one of the seaweed pieces was also cut from other sheets in the Whale of a Time DSP. The other seaweed piece was cut from Vellum card stock.

The greeting is from my most used greeting set, Itty Bitty Birthdays, and was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.

I love the versatility of this DSP, I think it's made a lovely card without have to use too many different supplies.

Vintage Christmas Baubles

 

I had fun making this pretty frilly Christmas card. I was one of my class cards this month and I think my class ladies enjoyed it too.

The baubles are punched from the Brushed Metal card stock with the Bauble Punches. Two of the baubles are dry embossed with the Hammered Metal and the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing folders.

It's a bit hidden by the Lace and the Linen ribbon but there is one of the beautiful Gold Hoop embellishments tucked in there that the baubles are attached to. 

The holly leaves and the gold berries have been cut using the Poinsettia Dies. The background Very Vanilla card stock was embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

The greeting is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and was heat embossed in Gold Embossing Powder.
