Hello on this lovely Wednesday evening in Melbourne. I'm back again with the Art With Heart Team and their Colour Creations Showcase. This week the team are featuring Gray Granite, from our Neutrals colour family.
I have two very different cards to show you tonight featuring this colour.
The first card features a new stamp bundle called Quite Curvy Bundle that is only available to demonstrators until the preorder starting the 1st of November. This set will then be available in the upcoming Jan to June Mini Catalogue.
I have paired this bundle with the Peony Garden DSP.
I needed to use one and a bit more of the leaf stamps to reach the full width of the card. I placed a small piece of the leaf stamp on the inside of the card with another of the birds.
The greeting, also from the Quite Curvy Bundle, was stamped in White Emboss Powder, on the front of the card. The last addition was a few of the Pearl Jewels on the front of the card.
For the second card I used a different colour scheme.
I used a stamp set I bought recently during our stamp sale called Moving Along. Again I stamped the image outlines in Gray Granite.
The smoke from the engine was stamped and embossed with White Emboss Powder. The greetings were stamped in Bashful Blue. The Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Birthday set. The white section in the middle of the card was dry embossed with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder.
Thank you for visiting,
Happy stamping,
Rachel
Wow, Rachel, both your cards are amazing. The lines across the front ready draw your eye across the card and give a sense of movement,. making the designs really come alive. Thank you for participating in the Colour Creations showcase this week xx
ReplyDeleteI love your use of colour on both cards, Rach. The first card is my favourite, because I have a "thing" for the Curvy Bundle already! Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards, Rachel, and the lovely soft, pastel hues really showcase the Gray Granite well!!
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards, Rachel. I love the first card especially; the soft colours work so well with the marble background.
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Rachel. I love your choice of DSP to compliment the curvy leaves and little birds. The leaves and little bird inside the card is a lovely touch. The train heading up the hill of textural DSP is cute and works well with the heat embossed smoke. All the elements work so well. xxx
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that card with the train!!! Wow, it is such a perfect design with those angles and DSPs.
ReplyDeleteTwo absolutely fabulous cards, Rachel. I love the soft colouring on card one - so beautiful. I love the fun look of card two. Great use of the Designer Paper too. Love your cards!
