Colour Creations Showcase Blog Hop week 9 Calypso Coral

Hello stampers, I'm back with another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. I managed to get my link done in time to join my fellow stampers this week so you will find the link to the next hop at the end of the post.

This week I inked up a new stamp set called Hats Off and the matching dies.

I stamped the main hat image on Calypso Coral card stock and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I also cut the front of the hat from Sweet Symmetry DSP. Don't forget this paper, as well as many others are on sale until the end of July.

I used the Biggest Wish stamp set and inks in Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron to stamp the background. To get the lighter tone of Calypso Coral I stamped the ink off once before stamping on the card. Some of the BIRTHDAYS were stamped in full strength Calypso Coral ink.

For more Calypso Coral inspiration from the Art With Heart team the next hop on our blog hop is the super talented Vicki Boucher.

In case you get lost or find a broken link in our hop, head to Cathy Proctor's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Heart of Christmas week 4

Hello, this week for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop I have used the beautiful Angels of Peace stamp set.

I started by heat embossing the larger angel in Gold, on Shimmery White card stock. The greeting was also Gold embossed, but on Vellum card stock.

The image was very subtly coloured with a Water Painter and Cherry Cobbler for her dress, So Saffron for her hair, Balmy Blue on the wings and Blushing Bride on her face and hand.

The image was then cut out using on of the Layered Circle Dies. The mat behind the image was cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock with the Encircled in Beauty Dies. The poinsettia and holly embellishments were cut using the Poinsettia Dies.

Around the edge of the Encircled in Beauty mat and the poinsettia and holly I applied Versamark ink randomly, directly from the ink pad. I then covered this with Heat and Stick Powder and then popped it quickly into my tub of Gilded Leafing. After a quick push down on the back of the items to make sure the Gilded Leafing is attached, I brushed off the excess with a dry paint brush.

The background paper is from the new Harvest Meadow DSP and the card base is Evening Evergreen.

I had a lovely time playing with this set, it's so easy to colour. For more Christmas inspiration the next hop on our blog hop is the very talented Cathy Proctor.

If you get lost or find a broken link in our blog hop please head to Tina Gillespie's blog for a full list of tonight's participants.

Most of the products I used to make this card are listed below, apart from the new products that are available from the 3rd of August.

Colour Creations Showcase week 8

Hello, for week 8 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase we are featuring Cajun Craze, from our Regals colour family. Each week the Art With Heart team are featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order.

I actually missed the cut off for the blog hop so this post not linked.

Cajun Craze is a lovely rich, rust colour that I don't use very often, so I was very happy to discover that it was featured in the In The Wild DSP.

I made these cards using the Random Patchwork Technique. I started by choosing three sheets that had different but coordinating designs. I cut each one with the largest Stitched Rectangular Die. So that all of the pieces would fit perfectly back together I stacked the three rectangles on top of each other before I cut them into three random pieces.

I cut card stock 10cm x 13.4cm in Crushed Curry, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I stuck three pieces of DSP on each piece with tape or Multipurpose Glue. These pieces were then attached to a Cajun Craze card base.

For the first and second cards I used the Biggest Wish stamp set to create the greeting.

For the third card I used the greeting from From All Of Us stamp set. I fussy cut one of the tigers and some foliage from the DSP and tucked them behind the greeting.

Thanks for hopping by, don't forget these papers are on sale until the 2nd of August.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

On the Fifth Day of Lock Down.....

On the fifth day of lock down I found out that there is going to be another week of lock down, at least! Oh well the weather is not good for doing anything else so why not stay home and make more cards :)

Today's card uses the same bundle as yesterday's, Merriest Moments. For this card I used the outline die and the embossing folder.

The die fits exactly inside the embossing folder.

When you insert a sheet of card stock and run it through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine you can cut and emboss at the same time.

Once this was done I coloured the foliage with a Water Painter and inks in Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce.

The poinsettia flowers are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry and the leaves are in Mossy Meadow.

The center panel is Mossy Meadow card stock and the greeting is heat embossed in white emboss powder.

The back ground is Pear Pizzazz card stock that has been embossed with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder. The card base is Mossy Meadow.
The Merriest Moments Bundle is available after the 3rd of August in the upcoming Mini Catalogue.

Thanks for visiting, come back tomorrow for our Colour Creations Blog Hop.

Happy stamping,
Rachel
