Colour Creations Showcase week 7 Bumblebee

Welcome to week 7 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week the Art With Heart Team are hosting a blog Hop showcasing one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Bumblebee, which is one of our 2020-2022 In Colours.

I have combined Bumblebee with numerous other colours in my Plentiful Plants scene.

I started my card by using the Blending Brushes and Bumblebee and Balmy Blue inks to colour the background.

The piece of In Good Taste DSP has been cut using the Picture This Die with the rectangle windows. I stamped and cut out the pots and the foliage pieces.

The hanging pot holder was die cut from Gray Granite card stock. I poked a hole through the DSP and the card front with the piercing end on the Take Your Pick Tool. I pushed through a small round brad and then split the legs flat to secure the brad.

The greeting is from the Art Gallery stamp set and was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

I'm loving the versatility of the Plentiful Plants bundle. Along with the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP this is great suite for lots of occasions.

Now it's time to hop to the next stop on our blog hop who is the amazingly talented Tina Gillespie.

  1. Such a beautiful scene you've created with your blending brushes Rachel - I can't decide whether its a sunrise or a sunset but I'm leaning more towards a sunrise I think?

  2. I love that you used the Picture This Die cut, with the windows sitting vertically, Rach - they look fantastic against the "brick wall" DSP, and your beautifully blended background. Love your choice of stamps, too. Great card, and nice use of Bumblebee!

  3. Your pots and plants look great Rachel, but I am most taken by how great Bumblebee looks with Balmy Blue for the background poking through the Picture This die cut. It gives your card a real softness.
