Woo, hoo, here we are at week 50 of the Colour Creations Showcase, featuring our final colour for this round, Soft Suede. Next week we are featuring all of the new 2021-2022 In Colours. There is a link at the end of the post that will take you to Cathy's Blog and a complete list of tonight's participants.
For today's samples I have used one of the bundles from the new 2021-2022 Catalogue, Beauty of Friendship Bundle. I have paired Soft Suede with Merry Merlot, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce.
For the first card I used the Beautiful Trees Dies to cut the leaves of the tree from the Beauty of the Earth DSP. The trunk is cut from Soft Suede card stock.
The tree is attached to a piece of Fluid 100 watercolour paper that I lightly water coloured with Balmy Blue and Soft Suede ink.
The Fluid 100 is mounted on a very thin mat of Merry Merlot card stock.
I finished the card with a piece of Linen thread and a greeting stamped in Merry Merlot on Basic White card stock and fussy cut.
For the second card I used the stamps from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.
I stamped the tree trunks four times across Basic White card stock. The leaf stamps were stamped in Old Olive on all four trunks. I stamped the smaller leaf stamp in Shaded Spruce on two alternate trees. I also used the edge of the leaf stamps to add some 'grass' along the base of the trees.
The border along the base of the trees and the feature behind the greeting are pieces of DSP from the In Good Taste DSP pack. The border was cut using the Basic Border Dies.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Rachel, your gorgeous cards really show the versatility of this stunning new bundle. I really like how you created grass with the leaf stamps and the way you've used the new border dies too. Thank you so much for all of your participation in the Colour Creations Showcase over the past 12 months.
ReplyDeleteI love these products, and the way you've used them. Beautiful cards, Rach. I especially love the second card, and how you used the leaf stamps to create grass. The stamped trees are gorgeous. I really like the sentiment (is that stamped??), and the label behind it. Great work!
