Colour Creations Blog Hop 2022-2024 In Colours Starry Sky

I'm here with the Art With Heart Team for week 3 of our Colour Creations Blog Hop featuring Starry Sky. Starry Sky is a lovely deep purple/blue colour. I REALLY enjoyed making my cards for today's blog hop, so much in fact that I have a couple of extras to show you tomorrow.

My first card for today uses the beautiful Happiness Abounds Bundle.

I stamped a couple of the large flowers in Stazon Ink on Fluid 100 Water Colour Paper. I also stamped three of the smaller flower bunches and numerous leaf images also on Fluid 100 paper.

I coloured all of the images using the smallest Water Colour Painter. The large flowers are Starry Sky and the smaller flowers are Fresh Freesia.
All pieces were cut out using the coordinating dies. I cut two strips of the Starry Sky In Colour DSP and attached them to the background of the card base.

I stamped some of the leaf images in Starry Sky on the background, around the floral image.

I added some white dots around the center of the flowers with the White Craft Ink.
The final addition was some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

The second card I have to share with you uses the Alphabest Bundle. This bundle has an alphabet and numbers stamp set and the Best Label punch.

This is not a card that I would recommend casing if you need a card in a hurry. It wasn't difficult, just time consuming.

I stamped the 5 different label stamps randomly on the background in a brickwork pattern, in Starry Sky ink.

I stamped 5 of the open label stamps on Orchid Oasis card stock. Then stamped the letters for HAPPY on each of them and punched them out with the Best Label punch. These were attached with Dimensionals down one of the rows of labels.

I wrapped the Starry Sky Metallic Ribbon around the width of the card and heat embossed the BIRTHDAY from the Artistically Ink stamp set in White Embossing Powder.
The card front was mounted on an Orchid Oasis mat and then onto a Starry Sky card base.
Here is a little peek at the cards for tomorrow...

All of the supplies I have used to make these cards are listed below and are available in my online store.

Now it's time to see what my wonderfully talented friend Sharon Davern has to share with us.

If you encounter a problem with any of our blog links, head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thank you for visiting,

  5. I love that you have shown two amazing cards that are both very different in style. To see the Starry Sky used in water colouring is interesting as it has a beautiful muted tone to it that I wasn’t expecting. I love these water coloured flowers! On the second card I love the stamped background, time consuming, yes! But the result is gorgeous.
