Hello, I'm back for yet another week of Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. I'm very proud of myself, I haven't missed a week even though some of the colours I'm a lot less comfortable using.
This week is Terracotta Tile. Terracotta Tile, how I love the.... If you've been paying attention and you're good with your alphabet you will know that Terracotta Tile is appearing out of order. We had to do this as unfortunately Terracotta Tile is one of the In Colours that is retiring at the end of this catalogue and we didn't want to be featuring a discontinued colour.
In honour of saying goodbye to one of my favourite colours I have gone a bit crazy with my projects. I have 3 to share with you tonight.
For my first couple of samples I have paired Terracotta Tile with Petal Pink and Old Olive. I love this subtle, rustic combination.
The first card uses a bundle that is continuing in the upcoming Annual Catalogue from the Jan to June Mini. Welcoming Windows has window stamps and dies and a range of flowers and greenery as accessories.
The bricks in the background are stamped in Terracotta Tile ink in a random arrangement. The mottled effect is part of the stamp and gives the bricks a rustic feel.
I used a tiny piece of Ornate Garden DSP for the window blind, with an Ornate Border edging in Old Olive.
The jug and the flowers are also stamps in this set. The window ledge was cut from Basic White card stock. The dies even put a woodgrain texture on the shelf and window shutters.
The next card uses the Ornate Style bundle. Unfortunately the stamp set is discontinued but the Ornate Layers dies are carrying over.
I stamped the main image on Fluid Watercolour paper and colour it using the Water Painters. I then fussy cut the whole image.
This image was mounted on one of the Ornate Layer dies cut from Basic White card stock. The background DSP is a sheet from the In Colour 2019-2021 pack.
I stamped the small flower image on the card base in Versamark ink.
The greeting was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Petal Pink card stock.
The third card is a super quick birthday card made using the Swirly Frame stamp set. The colours I have used are Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray.
The mat is Pretty Peacock and the card base is Terracotta Tile. The greeting is from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and has been stamped in Pretty Peacock on Terracotta Tile card stock.
This is a card that could be made in just a few moments and in innumerable colour combinations.

Please remember that if the supplies I have used for these projects are only available until sold out, so do not delay in purchasing if there is something you are interested in.

Rachel your incredible cards have converted me to like Terracotta tile just a little but more. They are all amazing but I really love your first card with the prick s and the window with the little bling made of DSP - just adorable! Thank you for sharing your Terracotta Tile inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you have been busy this week creating 3 cards! I am really drawn to those stamped bricks on your 2nd card. I love that they are randomly stamped on the white card with the In Good Taste die cut windows. That has to be my my favourite card of the 3, but the others are great too!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the Ornate Style card, but I'm very partial to those flowers. I like the background stamping and the fussy cut flowers on the white background.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of cards Rachel that cater for the beginner to the avid crafter. You’ve done an amazing job on the second card with the colouring and fussy cuts!
ReplyDeleteOh wow 3 cards and they are all so beautiful. I have been thinking of getting the Welcoming Window set and seeing your creations has made up my mine. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDelete3 fabulous terracotta tile cards that certainly showcase all crafting abilities.
