Hi stampers, welcome to week 38 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order.
This week our feature colour is Polished Pink. Polished Pink is on of the 2021-2023 In Colours which unfortunately means it will be leaving our range at the end of this catalogue in April.
For today's card I have used the Share a Milkshake Bundle from the Jan to April Mini Catalogue. I paired this with the Framed Florets Dies.
To make the two different coloured shapes on top of the milkshake I stamped the first one in full strength Polished Pink and then stamped again for the lighter colour.
The glass is stamped in Balmy Blue, as are the Celebrate words in the background.
The cherry and straw are stamped in Real Red Ink. I mounted the milkshake inside a frame cut with one of the Framed Florets Dies, from Polished Pink card stock.
While I had my desk covered in milkshake supplies I tried a chocolate colour scheme as well. Very excited with my cards as I'm thinking they will be novel alternative to my usual collection of floral cards, great for my older kids too.
Here's the two cards together. All of the products used to make these cards are from Stampin' Up! and are available from my online store, the links are listed below.
Now it's tome to see what the lovely and very clever Di Furniss has to share with us.
If you have any problems with the links in our blog hop please head over to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the host of our Colour Creations blog hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
We will be back next week, with Pool Party as our feature colour.
Happy stamping,
Rachel

Oh Rachel, your cards are making me crave a milkshake! I lover the retro colour combo of Polished Pink and Balmy Blue and the way you have achieved that soft pink with stamping off. And your chocolate milkshake card is super realistic and delicious looking.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I wasn't tempted by this bundle at all, until I saw your gorgeous cards. The 'strawberry' card was fabulous, but the 'chocolate' is magnificent!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Rachel and I love the use of the frame from the Framed Florets die set. The stamped off images give depth to the milkshake froth. I may have to case these cards and play with the milkshake elements in this bundle.
ReplyDeleteThe first word that came to mind was "gorgeous", but I see I'm not being original! LOL. Love that you paired Balmy Blue with Polished Pink - not a combo I would have thought of, but it works so well, especially with your fun design. The "stamped off" bubbles add some great dimension to the milkshakes. I love the dotty background on your first card, and the layout of both cards. Beautifully done, Rach. x
ReplyDeleteWow Rachel both of your cards are amazing and as you say perfect for older kids. I know this week is Polished Pink and I really love that card, the "chocolate" one is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh Rachel, your cards are gorgeous! What a great mix of products. I love both of your cards, they are such fun. Now you have me wanting that milkshake bundle. Caroline.
ReplyDeleteOh, these look so yummy! Love the colour combinations and using that frame is fantastic. I love the polished pink card the best (even though I prefer a chocolate shake, hehe). This bundle is so much fun, isn't it?!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Rach, that was me commenting - don't know why it changed to anonymous.
ReplyDeleteOh Rachel - 2 delightful cards. I love your combination of colours and products. So gorgeous. I have been trying to resist this bundle - but you are making it nigh impossible. xxx
